Plan tier
A plan tier is a packaged set of limits and features at one monthly price. MobiTaste has four: Starter at $10/mo, Growth, Pro, and Enterprise. The first 50 customers are locked at $5/mo Starter for life.
What it means in operation
Each tier names a price, a set of hard caps (tables, restaurants, staff seats), and a feature set. Starter is for single-location cafes up to 20 tables. Growth adds multi-location support and an audit log retention bump. Pro adds API access, SSO, and longer log retention. Enterprise adds dedicated support and a contracted SLA. You can move up or down between tiers from the billing portal. Upgrades take effect immediately and prorate the difference. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal, so you keep the higher limits until then.
Why it matters
Tiering is how SaaS makes the price match the buyer. A single-location cafe should not pay hotel-group prices. A hotel group should not be told to add restaurants in a Starter plan and “just see how it goes”. The tiers are a sorting hat: the right one fits, the wrong ones obviously do not. The buyer’s question is whether the tier deltas reflect real differences in usage (tables, locations, integrations) or whether they exist to push every buyer to the middle tier. MobiTaste tiers map to real operational scale.
