Organization

An organization is your top-level account. One organization can own many restaurants and brands, billed together on a single subscription. Staff invites, billing settings, and audit logs live at the organization level.

What it means in operation

When you sign up, MobiTaste creates an organization in your name. Inside it, you create one or more restaurants. A small cafe owner has one organization with one restaurant. A two-location brand has one organization with two restaurants. A hotel group with three properties and a coffee concept has one organization with four restaurants. Billing rolls up: one invoice from the merchant of record, one credit card on file, one set of plan limits. Staff can be invited at the organization level (access to all restaurants) or at the restaurant level (access to one).

Why it matters

The organization is the unit owners actually buy at. A cafe owner thinking about a second location wants to know the second one will plug into the same account, not require a separate signup, separate password, separate billing. The organization model makes that addition a two-minute action. It also keeps the multi-tenant story clean: every tenant is one organization, every organization is one billing relationship, and isolation lives at the organization boundary. For hotel IT, the organization is also the unit they negotiate the contract at.

  • Multi-tenant: the architecture that isolates one organization from another.
  • Plan tier: the package the organization subscribes to.
  • Hard caps: the limits that apply at the organization level.
